Seventh-ranked Miercurea Ciuc (7-11) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Focsani (11-7). Focsani managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 20-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Kyle Kilgore (201, college: Dakota St.) notched a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Cameron Cornelius (183-92, college: Missouri So.) supported him with 20 points. Even a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds by American power forward Andre Pierce (207, college: Lee JC) did not help to save the game for Miercurea Ciuc. Swingman Djordje Simeunovic (201-96) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Focsani moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Targu Jiu. Miercurea Ciuc at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost.
