Regular Season Round 21: Dnipro-2 - Kremen 97-89

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Kremen's (2-16) road loss to eighth ranked Dnipro-2 (5-13) 89-97 on Sunday. The game without a history. Dnipro-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Ihor Dubonenko (197-98) who scored 31 points. Forward Roman Bondarchuk (196-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Dnipro-2's coach Bogdan Frikke used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was center Aleksandr Ryhljuk (208-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and guard Alexey Chigrinov (189-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 23 points and 6 assists respectively. Five Kremen players scored in double figures. Dnipro-2 moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Kremen lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Dnipro-2 will face higher ranked SumDU (#6) in Sumy in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kremen will play on the road against the league's second-placed KDPU where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
