Regular Season Round 16: Elchingen - FC Bayern II 72-49

There was no surprise when 8th ranked FC Bayern II (7-9) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Elchingen (9-7) 72-49 on Sunday. Elchingen forced 24 FC Bayern II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for point guard Marko Krstanovic (196-97) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Croatian forward Jere Vucica (206-92, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Forward Jason George (201-1) replied with 6 points and 8 rebounds and Austrian Erol Ersek (193-99, college: High School) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for FC Bayern II. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Elchingen maintains fourth position in South with 9-7 record. FC Bayern II lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost. Elchingen will face higher ranked Fraport Skyliners II (#3) in Frankfurt in the next round and it may be the game of the week. FC Bayern II will play at home against Giessen 46ers II (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
