Everything went according to plan when second ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (11-5) defeated at home 12th ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (3-13) 82-65 on Sunday. BV Villingen-Schwenningen made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for Bill Borekambi (198-92, college: Sequoias CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Rasheed Moore (196-95, college: E.Stroudsburg) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Tucker Haymond (198-94, college: W.Michigan) replied with 24 points (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) and Thomas Michel (200-95) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Koeln Rh.Stars. Koeln Rh.Stars' coach Matt Dodson rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted BV Villingen-Schwenningen maintains second position in South with 11-5 record having four points less than leader Bayer Giants. Loser Koeln Rh.Stars keep the twelfth place with 13 games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will face Coburg (#5) at home in the next round. Koeln Rh.Stars will play against Loewen (#7) and hope to win that game.
