Very predictable result when second ranked Muenster (10-6) won against on the road 9th ranked Itzehoe (7-9) 73-64 on Sunday. Muenster dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Itzehoe's 20. It was a very good performance for American guard Jojo Cooper (183-95, college: Wagner) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American-British center Malcolm Delpeche (204-95, college: Bates) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Delpeche is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American forward Kevin Mickle (201-92, college: Ohio) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Bulgarian guard Milen Zahariev (190-92) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Itzehoe. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Muenster have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Newly promoted Muenster maintains second position in North with 10-6 record having five points less than leader Bayer Giants. Loser Itzehoe keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Muenster will face SparkassenStars (#4) in Bochum in the next round. Itzehoe will play on the road against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
