Regular Season Round 21: KDPU - Mariupol 75-55

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kryvyi Rih. Second ranked KDPU faced 4th placed Mariupol. Host KDPU (13-4) smashed guests from Mariupol (9-9) 75-55. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-55. The best player for the winners was power forward Vladyslav Frolov (202-98) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Yevgeniy Sergeichik (-94) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Oleksandr Biella (201-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Roman Bey (191-95) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted KDPU maintains second place with 13-4 record having five points less than leader Ternopil-TNEU, which they share with Kharkivski Sokoly. Mariupol lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with nine games lost. KDPU is looking forward to face Kremen (#9) in Kremenchuk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mariupol will play on the road against the league's leader Prometey (#1) in Kamianske and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
