Rather expected game when 9th ranked Afyon (1-15) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Tarsus (7-8) 108-71 on Wednesday. Tarsus dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Afyon's 38 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Tarsus had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Afyon's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tarsus made 7 blocks. Faik Kasikci (-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners and Selahattin Yalcin (-1) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Four Tarsus players scored in double figures. Tarsus' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest.
