Regular Season Round 17: Bahcehir - Besiktas 64-83

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Bahcehir (5-12) was rolled over at home by sixth ranked Besiktas (8-8) 83-64 on Wednesday. Besiktas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Cagdas Kayabasi (-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Ege Sun (-0) chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds. Five Besiktas players scored in double figures. Bartu Yilmaz (-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Mehmet Askar (-1) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Besiktas. They moved-up to fifth place. Bahcehir lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Besiktas will face league's second-placed Pinar Karsiyaka in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bahcehir will play against Adatip Sakarya (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
