Very expected game when 9th ranked UBSC Graz (5-13) was defeated at home by second ranked Gunners Oberwart (13-5) 81-67. The game was mostly controlled by Gunners Oberwart. UBSC Graz was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gunners Oberwart players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American guard Hayden Lescault (196-92, college: Point Loma) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. British center Chris Tawiah (207-93, college: Wiley) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. American Keevin Tyus (196-92, college: Lee) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Croatian-Bosnian guard Ivan Mikulic (194-91) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for UBSC Graz. Gunners Oberwart used an opportunity after Gmunden lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. UBSC Graz at the other side keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Gunners Oberwart's next round opponent will be Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#7) at home where they are favorite. UBSC Graz will play against Arkadia Lions and hope to win that game.
