Mustangs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded UBC St. Polten 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Mustangs shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by UBC St. Polten's players. It was a good game for Czech forward Vladimir Sismilich (202-85) who led his team to a victory with 32 points. Czech swingman Michal Kremen (198-81, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Guard Lukas Boeck (184-89) answered with 20 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Christopher Boeck (188-88) added 13 points in the effort for UBC St. Polten. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Mustangs. They maintain sixth place with 8-7 record, which they share with Flames. UBC St. Polten at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Mustangs' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Blackbirds in Jennersdorf and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UBC St. Polten will play at home against Raiders and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
