Regular Season Round 19: Neptunas - Prienu Skycop 85-68

Very expected game in Klaipeda where 7th ranked Prienu Skycop (7-12) was defeated by third ranked Neptunas (15-4) 85-68. The game without a history. Neptunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Prienu Skycop's 36. They outrebounded Prienu Skycop 43-20 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Deividas Gailius (200-88, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 assists and 5 steals and the former international center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) added 11 points in the effort for Prienu Skycop. Five Prienu Skycop players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neptunas moved-up to second place. Prienu Skycop at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Neptunas' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Siauliai (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Prienu Skycop will play against P.Zvaigzdes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
