Regular Season Round 15: Karesi Spor - Ankara DSI 92-95

The most exciting game of round 15 in the TBL took place in Karesi. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Karesi Spor (12-3) to fourteenth ranked Ankara D.S.I. (4-11) 95-92 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Ankara D.S.I. outrebounded Karesi Spor 46-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Kaan Sariaslan (193-97) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. Oguzhan Yarol (195-98) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) who recorded 28 points and 7 assists and forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Ankara D.S.I. maintains fourteenth place with 4-11 record. Karesi Spor at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with OGM Orman. Ankara D.S.I. are looking forward to face higher ranked Sigortam.net ITU (#8) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Karesi Spor will play on the road against Bandirma Kir. (#15) in Balikesir and is hoping to win this game.
