Bottom-ranked White Wings managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against seventh-ranked Phoenix Hagen 82-76. White Wings made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Phoenix Hagen turnovers. Strangely Phoenix Hagen outrebounded White Wings 45-29 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American Luquon Choice (190-93, college: Lincoln Memorial) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Alexander Angerer (203-96) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. Swingman Jonas Grof (201-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Jannik Lodders (198-92) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Phoenix Hagen. Phoenix Hagen's coach Kevin Magdowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. White Wings (5-14) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Baunach. Phoenix Hagen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. White Wings will play against higher ranked Uni Baskets (#13) in Paderborn in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Phoenix Hagen will play on the road against Schalke (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
