No shocking result in a game in Kryvyi Rih where second ranked KDPU (15-4) defeated 9th ranked Kremen (2-18) 98-91 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 34-23 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Kremen outrebounded KDPU 54-42 including 22 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Artem Vodolaztcky (197-92) scored 29 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Yevgeniy Sergeichik (-94) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side center Aleksandr Ryhljuk (208-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and center Vladislav Lukinskiy (205-99) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KDPU have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted KDPU maintains second position with 15-4 record having just three points less than leader Ternopil-TNEU. Kremen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 18 games lost. KDPU will again meet at home Kremen (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kremen will have a break next round.
