Very expected game when 12th ranked Kayseri (3-12) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Mersin BSB (9-6) 89-74 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Bosnian-Serbian swingman Sasa Cadjo (178-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). International guard Asena Yalcin (170-91, agency: FlyBasketball) helped adding 22 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Odyssey Sims (175-92, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and American-Nigerian Ify Ibekwe (187-89, college: Arizona) scored 18 points and 5 assists. Four Kayseri players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Mersin BSB. They maintain fifth place with 9-6 record, which they share with Galatasaray. Kayseri lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Mersin BSB will face higher ranked Botas (#4) in Adana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kayseri will play on the road against Ormanspor (#7) in Ankara and hope to win that game.
