Regular Season Round 17: BSW Sixers - Rist Wedel 89-66

There was a change at the ProB leadership position after last games. Round 17 most important game was a defeat of league's leader SC Rist Wedel (11-6). They were crushed by fifth ranked Sixers (10-7) 89-66 on Sunday night. Sixers forced 19 SC Rist Wedel turnovers. Lithuanian Eimantas Stankevicius (190-98, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian center Aurimas Adomaitis (205-87, college: LIU Brooklyn) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Malo Valerien (197-92) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sixers moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Bernau. SC Rist Wedel at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with Muenster. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bayer Giants. SC Rist Wedel will play next round against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sixers will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Muenster at home.
