There was no surprise in Istanbul where 6th ranked Tarsus (7-9) was crushed by second ranked Fenerbahce (15-1) 100-71 on Monday. Fenerbahce outrebounded Tarsus 50-29 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Tarsus' players. Tarsus was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Ismail Karabilen (206-1) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Efe Tirpanci (200-0) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Faik Kasikci (-0) who recorded 28 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and Mehmet Yilmaz (-0) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Anadolu Efes and Banvit. Loser Tarsus keeps the sixth place with nine games lost.
