Regular Season Round 17: Triglav - Ilrija 81-60

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kranj. Second ranked host Triglav (15-2) smashed 3rd placed Ilrija (12-6) 81-60. The game was mostly controlled by Triglav. Ilrija managed to win second period 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Triglav looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Ajda Burgar (176-1) stepped up and scored 19 points and 4 steals for the winners and the former international guard Katarina Ristic (170-84, agency: Two Points) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Triglav players scored in double figures. Ela Micunovic (182-97) responded with 27 points and 4 steals and guard Lejla Pamic (180-99) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Triglav have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-2 record behind leader Celje. Ilrija at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Triglav are looking forward to face Grosbasket (#6) in Grosuplje in the next round. Ilrija will play on the road against Maribor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
