Second Stage Round 2: Taurages - KTU 95-73

Very expected game when KTU (5-25) was smashed on the road by Taurages (12-18) 95-73 on Saturday. Taurages forced 21 KTU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Paulius Morkeliunas (201-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) supported him with 11 points and 6 assists. Even 12 points and 5 rebounds by Karolis Sapiega (196-99) did not help to save the game for KTU. Point guard Adomas Sidarevicius (186-1) added 11 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KTU's coach Arturas Sukovas gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Taurages will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KTU will play against Ezerunas (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
