Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked TV Langen (7-10) was outplayed on the road by third ranked Karlsruhe SC (13-4) 108-76 on Saturday. Karlsruhe SC forced 20 TV Langen turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Rouven Roessler (198-80) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Nils Maisel (192-97) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Maxim Schneider (184-92) who recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Christopher Edward (201, college: Concordia, OR) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five Karlsruhe SC and four TV Langen players scored in double figures. Karlsruhe SC maintains third position in South-West with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Duesseldorf. Loser TV Langen dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Karlsruhe SC will face Mannheim (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TV Langen will play against Stuttgart and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
