Regular Season Round 18: EBAA - Wolfpack/BMS 56-88

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of EBAA (5-10) in Aarhus on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by BMS Skovlunde (5-9) 88-56. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. BMS Skovlunde led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BMS Skovlunde had a 35-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American center Deionte Simmons (205-96, college: Chicago St.) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field). Forward Andreas Meilby (203-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Sylvester Berg (201-98) replied with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: Missouri So.) added 15 points in the effort for EBAA. EBAA's coach Mads Sigersted gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. BMS Skovlunde keeps a position of league leader. EBAA lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the second place with ten games lost. BMS Skovlunde are looking forward to face league's second-placed Horsens IC on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. EBAA will play against Stevnsgade and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
