Regular Season Round 17: Triglav - Domzale 115-44

Bottom-ranked Domzale (0-17) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 17th consecutive match to second ranked Triglav (15-2) 115-44 on Tuesday evening. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Domzale's 28. Triglav forced 29 Domzale turnovers and outrebounded them 52-28 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Domzale's players. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-93) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Point guard Gala Kramzar (163-99) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Triglav players scored in double figures. Triglav's coach Ernest Novak felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Vanja Tajher (178-95) produced 9 points and 7 rebounds and guard Blazka Hribar (174-98) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Triglav. They maintain second place with 15-2 record behind leader Celje. Domzale lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings. Triglav will meet Grosbasket (#6) in the next round. Domzale will play against Jezica and hopes to get finally their first victory.
