Second Stage Round 3: Medias - Steaua B. 55-81

Very expected game when Medias (0-3) were smashed at home by Steaua B. (3-0) 81-55 on Friday. The game without a history. Steaua B. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Medias' 24. They outrebounded Medias 43-23 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American power forward Skylar Spencer (206-94, college: San Diego St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (on 16-of-18 shooting from the field). Serbian forward Zarko Djuric (198-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international Titus Nicoara (203-88, agency: Interperformances) answered with 13 points and American point guard Kareem Storey (183-92, college: Morehead St.) added 11 points and 4 steals in the effort for Medias. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Steaua B. will face Voluntari (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Medias will play against CS Dinamo Bucuresti and hope to get finally their first victory.
