Regular Season Round 19: ETB Wohnbau - BSW Sixers 74-88

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Sixers (11-8) beat 12th ranked ETB Wohnbau (3-16) in Essen 88-74 on Saturday. Sixers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Croatian center Benedikt Turudic (207-97) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Ferdinand Zylka (190-98, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Five Sixers players scored in double figures. Sixers' coach Tomas Grepl used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Patrick Flomo (203-80, college: Ohio) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Andre Calvin (201-85, college: Drake) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for ETB Wohnbau in the defeat. Sixers moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Oldenburg. ETB Wohnbau lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Sixers will meet SG Schwelmer Baskets (#8) on the road in the next round. ETB Wohnbau will play against Itzehoe (#9) and hope to secure a win.
