Higher League top team - Prometey (24-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked SumDU (8-17) in Sumy 102-58. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to SumDU's 34. Prometey forced 19 SumDU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by SumDU's players. American guard Martez Walker (193-95, college: Oakland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 5 steals. Maks-Adam Konate (202-91) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. Coach Dmitry Markov's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Point guard Georgiy Altuhov (180-96) replied with 8 points and 9 assists and forward Anton Reshetilo (199-99) added 17 points in the effort for SumDU. Prometey have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first position with 24-1 record. SumDU lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 17 games lost. Prometey will have a break next round. SumDU will play again at home against the league's leader Prometey (#1) and hope to win that game.
