Regular Season Round 26: Kharkivski Sokoly - KDPU 93-98

An interesting game for KDPU (19-4) which played road game in Kharkiv against one of their biggest challengers Kharkivski Sokoly (14-7). Second ranked KDPU managed to get a 5-point victory 98-93. Kharkivski Sokoly trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 32-25 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 93-98 at the end of the game. KDPU made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Power forward Vladyslav Frolov (202-98) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Artem Vodolaztcky (197-92) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Guard Sergiy Olkhovikov (186-91) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Yaroslav Udodenko (187-87) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kharkivski Sokoly. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KDPU have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted KDPU maintains second position with 19-4 record having seven points less than leader Ternopil-TNEU. Kharkivski Sokoly lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with seven games lost. KDPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kharkivski Sokoly will play again at home against the league's second-placed KDPU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
