Very expected game when 11th ranked Salzkotten (4-14) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Dorsten (12-6) 103-75 on Saturday. Dorsten dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Salzkotten's 32. They outrebounded Salzkotten 52-30 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Salzkotten's coach Stefan Schettke gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dorsten moved-up to fifth place in West, which they share with Herford. Loser Salzkotten dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost.
