Rather predictable result when Craiova (11-6) won against at home Pitesti (7-10) 80-76 on Saturday. Pitesti was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a good game for Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Porter Troupe (196-83, college: Portland, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 18 points in the effort for Pitesti. Five Craiova and four Pitesti players scored in double figures. Pitesti's coach Florin Nini rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Craiova will face Sibiu on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pitesti will play against Timisoara (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
