An interesting game took place in Trier where higher ranked Gladiators (11-10) were upset on its own court by fifteenth ranked White Wings (6-15) 95-55 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gladiators. White Wings forced 20 Gladiators turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Dorian Pinson (196-96, college: Lincoln Memorial) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import Luquon Choice (190-93, college: Lincoln Memorial) chipped in 18 points. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Rupert Hennen (182-97) who recorded 12 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. White Wings maintains fifteenth place with 6-15 record. Loser Gladiators keep the seventh position with ten games lost. White Wings will meet at home higher ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gladiators will play against Uni Baskets in Paderborn and hope to secure a win.
