Second Stage Round 3: Timisoara - Cluj Napoca 80-78

There was a minor upset when Cluj Napoca (12-5) was edged on the road by Timisoara (8-9) 80-78 on Sunday. Cluj Napoca trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 26-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 78-80 at the end of the game. It was a good game for Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Sherwood Brown (193-91, college: FGCU) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) answered with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St.) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cluj Napoca. Four Timisoara and five Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Timisoara will face Pitesti (#6) on the road in the next round. Cluj Napoca will play against Oradea (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
