Regular Season Round 12: Interkhim - Kozachka-KPU 57-54

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Interkhim (11-9) edged bottom-ranked Kozachka-KPU (3-19) in Odessa 57-54 on Friday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Kozachka-KPU trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 18-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 54-57 at the end of the game. It was a good game for guard Natalia Kolotovska (173-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Power forward Marharyta Hliebova (186-96) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Jana Strelko (186-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Olga Chernenko (176-86) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Kozachka-KPU. Interkhim moved-up to third place. Kozachka-KPU lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. Interkhim will have a break next round. Kozachka-KPU will play on the road against Frankivsk (#6) in Ivano-Frankivsk and hope to win that game.
