There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Ankara D.S.I. (5-13) defeated on the road 13th ranked Yalova Bld (5-13) 74-65 on Friday. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Osman Sirin (207-90, college: Charlotte) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. American center David Weaver (207-87, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Troy Sav (204-98, college: St.Leo) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Melih Kapucu (204-90) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yalova Bld's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ankara D.S.I. moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Bandirma Kir. and Yalova Bld. Yalova Bld lost third consecutive game. Ankara D.S.I. will face higher ranked Socar Petkim (#7) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
