BSL round 18 most important game was a victory of Besiktas over higher ranked Turk Telekom 85-67 on Saturday night. Besiktas shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Phil Pressey (180-91, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 6 assists. The other American import swingman Kyle Gibson (196-87, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American-Austrian swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American Kenny Gabriel (209-89, college: Auburn) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Turk Telekom. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Besiktas (9-8) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bahcesehir. Turk Telekom at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Gaziantep. Besiktas is looking forward to face Buyukcekmece (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Turk Telekom will play against Gaziantep (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
