Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Ch.Mavpy 2 and 5th ranked Lutsk Univ. where Ch.Mavpy 2 (7-17) rolled over Lutsk Univ. (12-13) on the road with 23-point difference 87-64. It looked good early as Lutsk Univ. took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ch.Mavpy 2 had a 17-6 second period charge getting the lead and Lutsk Univ. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-87. Ch.Mavpy 2 dominated on the defensive end, holding Lutsk Univ. to just 6 points in second quarter. They made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Ch.Mavpy 2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Lutsk Univ. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Oleh Bondarenko (187-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Yaroslav Voytovych (202-99) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Ch.Mavpy 2 players scored in double figures. Guard Volodymyr Kotsko (190-97) replied with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Dmitry Shvahrynskyy (197-89) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Lutsk Univ.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ch.Mavpy 2 maintains eighth position with 7-17 record. Newly promoted Lutsk Univ. keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Ch.Mavpy 2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
