There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Aschersleben (7-12) beat at home higher ranked Neustadt TSV (9-10) 89-75 on Saturday. Aschersleben made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Neustadt TSV was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Pakistani Salman Manzur (205-96) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Kendal Williams (183-92, college: Delaware St.) who added 13 points and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. American guard Brandon Roberts (185-94, college: Al.-Huntsville) responded with 16 points and Dutch point guard Dyon Doekhi (188-87) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aschersleben moved-up to twelfth place in North. Loser Neustadt TSV dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Aschersleben will face league's second-placed RSV Eintracht in Stahnsdorf in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
