Regular Season Round 28: KDPU - Dnipro-2 84-63

Very expected game in Kryvyi Rih where 8th ranked Dnipro-2 (6-18) was rolled over by second ranked KDPU (21-4) 84-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by KDPU. Dnipro-2 managed to win third quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Vladyslav Frolov (202-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Dmitro Vasilenko (200-97) who added 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side forward Pavlo Bondarenko (200-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Roman Bondarchuk (196-98) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KDPU have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Newly promoted KDPU maintains second position with 21-4 record having seven points less than leader Ternopil-TNEU. Dnipro-2 at the other side keeps the eighth place with 18 games lost. KDPU will again meet at home Dnipro-2 (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Dnipro-2 will have a break next round.
