The game with biggest result difference took place in Kastrup. Local Amager (8-3) outscored 7th ranked Vaerlose (2-9) 97-69 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Amager led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Vaerlose's 32. They outrebounded Vaerlose 51-34 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Amager looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Vaerlose's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 24 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Samoan Geraldynn Leaupepe (-96) helped adding 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Julianna Okosun (194-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Ellen Svendsen (176-99) scored 19 points. Amager have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Amager maintains second place with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader Horsholm. Vaerlose at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Amager will meet at home Aabyhoj (#4) in the next round. Vaerlose will play against Herlev and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
