Regular Season Round 29: Kharkivski Sokoly - Prometey 65-103

An interesting game for Prometey (26-1) which played road game in Kharkiv against 3rd placed Kharkivski Sokoly (14-9). First ranked Prometey had an easy win 103-65. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kharkivski Sokoly's 32. They outrebounded Kharkivski Sokoly 37-22 including 28 on the defensive glass. Prometey looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Kharkivski Sokoly's players. American point guard Supreme Hannah (181-94, college: Daemen) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 assists and 6 steals. Forward Vitali Malchevskiy (203-87) contributed with 23 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. Prometey's coach Dmitry Markov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Yaroslav Udodenko (187-87) answered with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Vladislav Cheverdin (202-94) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kharkivski Sokoly. Prometey have an impressive series of twenty two victories in a row. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first place with 26-1 record. Kharkivski Sokoly lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Prometey are looking forward to face Dnipro-2 (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kharkivski Sokoly will play against Niko-Basket (#3) in Mykolaiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
