Regular Season Round 29: Ternopil-TNEU - DYUSH-DOR 95-59

Higher League top team - Ternopil-TNEU (22-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked DYUSH-DOR (3-20) 95-59. The game was mostly controlled by Ternopil-TNEU. DYUSH-DOR was better in second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ternopil-TNEU dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to DYUSH-DOR's 36 and made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded DYUSH-DOR 41-26 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ternopil-TNEU players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Vladyslav Ryzhov (190-94) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 assists for the winners and forward Oleg Rudakov (194-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 11 points and 15 rebounds. Four Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. Sergiy Miasoedov (190-94) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Oleksandr Fomenko (180-86) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Ternopil-TNEU. Newly promoted Ternopil-TNEU maintains first place with 22-4 record. DYUSH-DOR lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 20 games lost. Ternopil-TNEU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. DYUSH-DOR will play at home against Lutsk Univ. (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
