Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Hoverla (13-11) defeated 6th ranked Politekhn.Lvov (9-17) in Ivano-Frankivsk 72-68. It looked good early as Politekhn.Lvov took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hoverla had a 25-12 second period charge getting the lead and Politekhn.Lvov was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-72. Hoverla forced 21 Politekhn.Lvov turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Point guard Andriy Kalashnikov (175-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winners and forward Denys Koshovets (202-90) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
