Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul: Fenerbahce (#3) and Istanbul Uni (#13). Istanbul Uni was smashed at home by 31 points 58-89. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Istanbul Uni's 34. They outrebounded Istanbul Uni 43-22 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fenerbahce players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Istanbul Uni's players. Fenerbahce (15-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion (15-3) moved-up to second place, which they share with Hatay. Istanbul Uni lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Fenerbahce's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Hatay at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Istanbul Uni will play against the league's leader Cukurova (#1) in Mersin and hope to win that game.
