Very expected game in Kharkiv where 8th ranked Politekhnik (6-18) was defeated by second ranked Zaporizhye (15-9) 90-86 on Wednesday. Zaporizhye dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Politekhnik's 40. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Mike Holton-Jr (185-90, college: St.Michael's) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) who added 17 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Zaporizhye players scored in double figures. Zaporizhye's coach Valeriy Plehanov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Zaporizhye have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Zaporizhye went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Politekhnik stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost. Zaporizhye will face Cherkasy (#7) at home in the next round. Politekhnik will play against the league's leader Khimik in Yuzhny and hope to win that game.
