Fourth-ranked Perlas (19-16) made lots of trouble for first ranked Vytis (28-7) in Sakiai on Wednesday. Vytis managed to secure only three-point victory 90-87. However their fans expected easier game. Vytis forced 19 Perlas turnovers. Justas Sakalauskas (200-96) fired 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Paulius Beliavicius (196-88) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. Forward Simas Jarumbauskas (197-0, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and guard Domantas Vilys (188-0) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vytis have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-7 record. Perlas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
