Regular Season Round 12: Lemvig - SISU 69-64
Date: February 16, 2019
Very important is a road loss of third ranked SISU (7-5) against eighth ranked Lemvig (2-10) on Saturday night. Visiting SISU was defeated by Lemvig in a tough game in Lemvig 64-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SISU. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The winners were led by American forward Makenzie Miller (-95, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard Aniese Palmore (165-94, college: Montana-West, agency: S.M.W.W.) supported her with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Palmore is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by Canadian guard Nofuente Ceejay (176-93, college: Humber) did not help to save the game for SISU. American forward Aubrey Buckley (187-95, college: Missouri St.) added 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four SISU players scored in double figures. Lemvig moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Vaerlose. Loser SISU keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Aabyhoj. Lemvig will meet league's leader Horsholm on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SISU will play against the league's second-placed Amager where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
