Regular Season Round 22: Urla BLD - Bayrakli 74-83

The most important game in the last round took place in Izmir between third ranked Urla BLD (16-6) and fifth ranked Bayrakli (16-6) on Saturday night. Urla BLD was defeated by Bayrakli in a tough game at home 74-83. Bayrakli forced 22 Urla BLD turnovers. Strangely Urla BLD outrebounded Bayrakli 37-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Cansu Aslan (170-90) scored 19 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Burcu Karahan (-91) chipped in 20 points, 6 assists and 6 steals during the contest. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bayrakli have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Elazig and Urla BLD. Bayrakli is looking forward to face Elazig (#4) at home in the next round. Urla BLD will play against Nesibe in Ankara and is hoping to win this game.
