There was no surprise when 10th ranked Wuerzburg (8-13) was defeated at home by seventh ranked FC Bayern II (11-10) 71-61 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) who scored 17 points. Constantin Schmitt (200-97) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four FC Bayern II players scored in double figures. FC Bayern II's coach Demond Greene used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) who recorded 14 points and 7 assists and center Jonas Weitzel (203-98) added 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for FC Bayern II. They moved-up to sixth place in South, which they share with OrangeAcademy. Loser Wuerzburg keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. FC Bayern II will face higher ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
