Regular Season Round 30: Dnipro-2 - Prometey 65-95

Higher League top team - Prometey (27-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Dnipro-2 (6-19) 95-65. The game was mostly controlled by Prometey. Dnipro-2 was better in third quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dnipro-2 to just 6 points in second quarter. Prometey dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Dnipro-2's 34. Prometey forced 23 Dnipro-2 turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Dnipro-2's players. It was a good game for Maks-Adam Konate (202-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Sergiy Zagreba (214-94) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Roman Bondarchuk (196-98) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Vladislav Orzul (192-1) added 17 points in the effort for Dnipro-2. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Prometey have an impressive 23-game winning streak. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first position with 27-1 record. Dnipro-2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 19 games lost. Prometey will have a break next round. Dnipro-2 will play again at home against the league's leader Prometey (#1) and hope to win that game.
