We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Sumy where seventh ranked SumDU (9-19) defeated 6th ranked Zolotoi Vek (8-17) 91-82 on Saturday. Zolotoi Vek trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 25-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-91 at the end of the game. SumDU looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international forward Igor Kryvych (198-78) scored 29 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Vitaliy Ignatchenko (188-91) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five SumDU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Ilya Kabatsiura (195-96) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and forward Olexandr Drobiazko (200-93) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Zolotoi Vek's coach Georgi Stupenchuk rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SumDU moved-up to sixth place. Loser Zolotoi Vek dropped to the seventh position with 17 games lost. SumDU will face again Zolotoi Vek (#7) in Kirovograd in the next round.
