Second Stage Round 8: Zalgiris II - Ezerunas 70-80

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Zalgiris II (17-17) lost to eleventh ranked Ezerunas (15-20) in Kaunas 70-80. Strangely Zalgiris II outrebounded Ezerunas 40-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Jonas Zakas (192-97) who scored 18 points. Swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-92) chipped in 14 points. Vitalijus Kozys (201-99) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Lukas Uleckas (199-99) added 20 points respectively for the hosts. They have an impressive five-game winning streak. Ezerunas maintains eleventh position with 15-20 record. Zalgiris II at the other side keeps the ninth place with 17 games lost. Ezerunas' next round opponent will be Taurages (#13) on the road.
