Important game to mention about took place in Kastrup. Fourth ranked Aabyhoj (7-5) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-best Amager (8-4) 84-83 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Amager. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Malene Pedersen (180-1) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 assists and forward Caroline Wich (185-96, college: Portland St.) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Aabyhoj players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Samoan Geraldynn Leaupepe (-96) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Aabyhoj moved-up to third place, which they share with SISU. Amager at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second position with four games lost. Aabyhoj will play against bottom-ranked Vaerlose (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Amager will play against SISU (#3) in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
